    Opening Cre8ive Force

    It's been a busy day. Cause it's our student graduation show! The Cre8ive Force Exhibiton. The students and the College team has been working all night to prepare this wonderful evening. Salute to all of the team!

    The guests starting to come at 6 pm and we start at 7 pm. Shinta and Agung from Bubu, Bernhard from Octovate, Dina and Hesti from Atomz, Edi Taslim from Kompas Cybermedia, Jerry Aurum, Caroline from FDGI, Danu from Binus, Ellen from Matahari Timezone are among the guests. Thanks for visiting us guys!

    We are honored to have Mr. Richard Mengko as the Advisor for Ministry of Research & Technology to open our exhibition. And out of ordinary, we also have Amy Quek and Aamir Ghani from Lucasfilm Animation (Singapore) and Mark Marcin from Industrial Light and Magic (San Francisco) coming to our exhibition. They have a wonderful evening getting to know the industry players in Indonesia and an opportunity to see the new generation of creative force!

    Cre8ive Force showing off!

    This is the celebration of the year! Our Design, Animation and Filmmaking has graduated. And ready to enter the industry.

     
    Bernhard Subiakto from Octovate sharing his experience in creative industry, creating some of the best works including campaign for Gudang Garam TV Commercial and Visit Indonesia Year 2008.

    Bernhard Subiakto from Octovate Group is invited. As one of the first Digital Studio College student, he has succeed to lead a creative team that creates a memorable TV Commercial for Gudang Garam as the celebration of Indonesia creativity. His team also creates the logo for Visit Indonesia Year 2008.

    His message to all young designer is that design can be placed alongside with other industry as the one that truly rewarding, emotionally and financially. Thanks to Bernhard. Brilliant works!


    Dahlia Zinnia Nizar received the Best Lecturer. Again!!??


    Tjong Indra awarded with Special Appreciation as a Favourite lecturer.



     
    On behalf of all lecturers, Bima Shaw give the last message for the students.

    We give appreciation to the best lecturers in DS College, Dahlia Zinnia Nizar for Digital Design, Rully Rochadi for Digital Animation and Farizhad I Latjuba (Echa) for Digital Filmmaking and Special appreciation goes to Tjong Indra as the favourite lecturer. Bima Shaw represent all lecturers to give his last words to the students.

    Animation Industry Networking Singapore & Indonesia
    21 - 22 November 2007

    SIGGRAPH (Special Interest Group for Computer GRAPHics) is an International Computer Graphic organization. The member of this organization is practician and academic people from computer graphic industry (animation, visualization, CAD, and games) got many chapter in all around the worlds, one of them is in Singapore.

    Siggraph team Asia chapter got the opportunity to visit indonesia in 21 and 22 November
    to do networking, information exchange, knowledge, activity & event discussion and computer graphics business in non formal situation. Alaso joined in this team is Indianatales team (animation house from India) that had purposes to find a partner in animation Movie “ Manikantan”.

    The two days visit to Indonesia contain some event:

    Day 1. Wednesday, 21 November 2007

    - Movie Screening Animation Theater 2007 at Blitz Megaplex Jakarta, the movie screening seat that almost full is being attended by invititation from some of animation house some of them are: Gepetto, Castle Production, A-Box, Matahari Studios, Octovate, Netpolitan, Art & FX and 3ds, also present some of the lecturer and students from Digital Studio College. The audience that come is very excited watching the movie screening.

    - Courtyard Restaurant is the place for the next event that is networking and presentation in animation industry in Indonesia and Singapore is the next event . In this occasion the Siggraph team give the presentation about Siggraph event in 2008. the next presentation is from Bullit Sesariza (A-Box), Daniel AB (Gepetto) and Andi SB (Digital Studio). Indianatales also got the opportunity to presentate about their animation product (animation movie : “Manikantan”).


    Day 2. Thursday, 22 November 2007

    The Siggraph team and Indianatales visit some places they are:

    - Pelita Harapan University :
    The team being show of the facility and rooms in Pelita Harapan University such as; students portfolio gallery, PC lab, workshop lab, gymnasium, soccer field, basketball field, foodcourt, library, leisure room for students, and swimming pool.

    - Matahari Studios:
    In this occasion the Matahari Studios team that being represented by Mr. Damien Wieman (GM Matahari Studios) presentate their porfolio. Next the team got the opportunity to see the facility and studio at Matahari Studios.

    - Mirage Post:
    Bomi and Tomy Ramelan is the representation from Mirage Post presentate about Mirage Post and their showreel. After the presentation the team moved to look around the studio facility and room in Mirage Post. In the end of the tour Mr. Chaleb Cheong give reminiscence to Mirage Post. After all day touring the team head to Senayan City to buy some merchandise before they went to airport.

    Advantages of this event:

    -  Updated knowledge in animation industry in other country
    -  Co-operation and networking in animation industry between Indonesia and Singapore
    will help the fast growth in animation industry.
    -  The big amount of Indonesia resident is well prospect for human resources in animation
    industry, the amount had to be balanced with skill and knowledge so they got to compete
    with other country
    -  Advantage for Siggraph team is they had the opportunity to promote their event that is
    Siggraph 2008 that will be held in Los Angeles, 11 – 16 August 2008
