The growing appreciation for new media as medium of information communication boosts the need for man power in multimedia industry. The Multimedia Design Program is particularly designed to meet the needs for human resourses in this area .
Knowledge of concepts on visual , design, color and typography will be applied in various assignments. For this, students will obtain practice using software needed to provide them with technical skills.
Assignments include designing flyer, brochure, poster, advertisement. company profile, TV bumper, flash movie, website, product campaign, packaging and others, to be compiled in the student's portfolio==================================================

Term III: Single Page Design
Creativity Workshop
Students are encouraged to explore their creativity by developing unique assignments.
Single Page Design
Fundamental components of design theory are incorporated with ideation, execution and
presentation of projects. Students are expected to use creative thinking to solve
communication problems using basic design principles (color, shape and composition).
Assignments for this class include posters, flyers and CD cover.
Typography 2
Fundamentals covered in Typography 1 (Term II) will be expanded here to give students
understanding of typography for multi-page documents, including grid and its application.
Digital Production I
Digital video solution and its integration for multimedia needs are topic in this class.
Multimedia Design
This course concentrates on training students to develop effective web design by exploiting
Macromedia Dreamweaver as web layout and Fireworks as graphic application.
Term IV: Multipage Design & Multimedia
Corporate Communication
In this course students will discuss and develop assignments directed to corporate
communication projects, such as leaflet, company profile and annual report.
Editorial Design
Lectures and studio work analyze design process to produce multi-page publication. Students
will produce visualizations for news-letters, books and magazines using elements of editorial
design.
Digital Imaging
Through hands-on instruction and projects, this course helps students to achieve professional
studio techniques, with emphasis on technical proficiency and artistic mastery of advanced
Photoshop, including montage, collage and painting effects.
Integrated New Media
As one of the fastest growing interest, the discipline of New Media has become an integral
part of advertising and the latest solution to integrate design with many digital media choices
(ie. Website, mobile device, interactive kiosk, etc) .
Print Production
Process of prepress and printing will be the focus of this course. Topics discussed include
halftone separation, proofing and color reproduction from monitor to printing.
Term V: Advertising Design & Motion Graphics
Advertising Design
The basics of advertising design will be the major topic in this course with the emphasis on
conceptual thinking process; students will explore various possible solutions for
communication issues.
Retail Design
The process of designing packaging and point of sales will be examined by addressing the
consumer behavior and contextual factors.
Brand & Corporate Identity Design
The study of branding and corporate identity is gained through the process of designing
company logo and its various application. Conceptualizing and developing design will result in
Graphic Standard Manual.
Motion Graphics
This course introduces concepts for motion graphics, including graphics and promos for
television network and film titles. The focus is on design presentation and development,
screen composition, graphic transitions and content.
Design Business
Through lectures and assignments, this course presents an in-depth study of the business of
design and advertising industry. Phases dealing with a client Common design problems are
emphasized, including pricing, estimates, client relations and professional business conduct.
Term VI
Final Project
Starting from communication needs, each student is allowed to choose a design project, such
as designing a book or magazine, corporate identity, packaging and advertisement.
